Anne Mok, DAOM, L.Ac., BS Pharmacy
Dr. Anne L. Mok, a Chinese-American, attributes her decision to pursue studies in Eastern medicine as “following her roots” understanding that Traditional Oriental Medicine helps achieve her goal of preventing disease before it happens by keeping the body in harmony. As co-owner and founder of Cornerstone Healing, Dr. Mok treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome, herniated disks, tendonitis, and various sprains and strains. She is also committed to working with women dealing with infertility and menopausal symptoms, and has a successful history of working with a broad range of gynecological and gastrointestinal issues.
In addition to her work at Cornerstone Healing, Dr. Mok currently serves as an Acupuncture Supervisor at the Brownsville Multi-Service Family Health Center (BMS) where she uses the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) detox protocol to help individuals to abstain from drugs and alcohol. BMS and Dr. Mok share the same philosophy regarding the blend of Eastern and Western medicine to treat the individual as a whole entity. She is currently working in collaboration with their rehabilitation and physical therapy departments to assist individuals with pain management. Dr. Mok is also a practicing pharmacist in the Washington Heights section of New York City, where she has worked for 14 years.
