Peggy R. Robinson, DAOM, L.Ac.
Dr. Peggy R. Robinson has successfully integrated activism and medicine for more than 15 years. As a founder and co-owner of Cornerstone Healing, she provides holistic quality patient care that incorporates both Western and Eastern philosophies. At Cornerstone, Dr. Robinson applies her clinical experience treating a wide variety of health problems, including gynecological, fertility, gastrointestinal, anxiety disorders, and dermatology. She has extensive expertise treating skin maladies such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne, and has received specialized training in using non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments to reduce wrinkles, frown lines, and bags caused by aging.
Honored with the Daisy Mitchell Fellowship for her human rights work, Dr. Robinson serves to provide medical assistance to underrepresented communities in the U.S. and abroad. She is currently working to establish healthcare facilities in underdeveloped countries. Dr. Robinson is also the founder and director of Emmanuelle’s Place, a non-profit organization providing quality holistic health care services and education to empower women in need. She also coordinates the Integrative Medicine Program at Greenhope Services For Women, Inc., an organization that services predominantly poor African-American and Latina ex-offenders in New York City. Trained in the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) detox protocol, Dr. Robinson uses this unique form of acupuncture to benefit patients who suffer from substance abuse and other threatening addictions.
Dr. Robinson earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Africana Studies from Albany State University, and received the degrees of Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) and a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She is a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Chinese Herbalist, and an active member of the Acupuncture Society of New York and NADA.
